Events at the Palos Verdes Chamber of Commerce
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce provides a variety of Signature Events and Mixers each year with the help of our various committees, task forces and other organizations.
Mixers:
Evening Monthly Mixers
These “after-5” membership get-togethers provide members a venue to meet, exchange business cards, and talk business in an informal setting. An opportunity to network and promote your business or organization while developing new friendships with like-minded business and community leaders on the third Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:30pm.
Breakfast Mixers
Members learn about issues important to businesses from speakers on a variety of topics and also have the chance to provide an "infomercial" about themselves and/or their business as well as networking among other Chamber members on the first Wednesday of each month from 7:15-9:00am. Salute to Business/Installation Dinner - (February)
New Officers are installed and local businesses honored each February.
Medal of Valor - (Spring)
The Chamber co-sponsors the annual event with other South Bay chambers of commerce to honor public safety personnel who risked their lives to save others. The luncheon is held in the spring of each year at the Torrance Marriott.
Palos Verdes Street Fair and Music Festival - (Second weekend in June)
The Chamber's biggest community event each year draws over 40,000 people to a fair the second weekend in June and is located in the Rolling Hills Estates business district at Silver Spur Road and Crossfield Drive between the Peninsula Shopping Center and Promenade on the Peninsula. The fair features popular carnival rides, over 200 arts and craft vendors, International Food Court, live entertainment and jazz festival on two stages, the “Top Dogs” dog show, children’s rides and art walk, entertainment and sidewalk sales at the two shopping centers. The theme “Taking the Greener Path” supports the environment offering education programs and eco-friendly products. Visit us on the web at www.pvstreetfair.com.
Citizen of the Year - (Fall)
A prominent citizen is honored at an annual Fall dinner for making the Peninsula a better place to live and work.
Legislative Luncheon - (Fall)
The Chamber invites State Legislators, the Governor’s representative and the Los Angeles County 4th District Supervisor to address issues of importance to the business community during the Fall.
Holiday Parades - (December)
The Chamber participates in winter holiday parades sponsored by the local cities. Biz Assist / Survive & Thrive Seminars - (Throughout the year)
A series of free seminars held throughout the year to assist small and home-based businesses.
