Citizens' Oversight Committee for Parcel Tax Measure M

Measure M was passed on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, by the voters who reside within the boundaries of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD). As required by Measure M, the Board of Education must establish a Citizens’ Oversight Committee. The Board of Education voted on July 26, 2012, to appoint a Citizens’ Oversight Committee for Measure M, comprised of seven to nine members for a term of four years (2020). These members are to communicate with the community on all issues related to Measure M.

The Committee members are required to live within the boundaries of the PVPUSD and the majority of the members must have children or grandchildren currently attending schools in the District and include members from the following areas: business administration, community representation, education, finance and law.

Applications must be received by the PVPUSD Superintendent’s Office, 375 Via Almar, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274-1261, on or before 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017.
