What the Chamber is Doing for You

What the Chamber is doing to support local businesses.

We are working with the local news media to disseminate information about special services, products and promotions that our businesses are offering. Some of the media we are in contact with are: Peninsula News, RPV -TV, PV Pulse, the cities, and other local content platforms. Here are some things you can do:

  1. Send us information on special services (takeout/delivery or appointment-based options), special promotions (30% off for seniors), new products (curb side pickup), or anything else new and different that you are doing in response to the current situation.
Email any updates/info to me: [email protected]
We will do our best to get this information out to the community. Keep this coming!
You may also email the editor at the Peninsula News with this information; they are looking for stories that show unique and creative responses from businesses. We want to thank the Peninsula News for their support for small business. Email: [email protected]
  2. Follow the Chamber on
FACEBOOK (Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce)
    INSTAGRAM (@pvpchamber)
    TWITTER (@pvpchamber)
Be sure to tag us using @pvpchamber AND we will repost/share as many of your posts as we can. We have a far reach into the community, so don’t miss this opportunity to leverage your membership in the Chamber.

News and Resources

Be sure to sign up for news alerts from our local cities. You can easily do this from any of the cities’ websites. You should also follow the cities on Twitter, as our cities utilize Twitter for notifications. Note that each of our four Peninsula cities are working virtually to continue to serve our businesses and residents. The buildings themselves may be closed, but each city’s staff are working via email and phone to continue to provide the important city services on which we all depend. Note that our four cities are the most reliable source for changes that affect us locally.

The Chamber will also be using our social media platforms to repost/share significant notices from government, schools, the library district, and public agencies. Just another reason to be following us on social media!

One of the best resources for businesses is the California Chamber of Commerce website. Click here for the link. (www.calchamber.com/coronavirus).

The Chamber is actively advocating with elected officials at various levels to provide financial relief and resources for businesses during this situation.

Finally, I urge you all to order take out or delivery and buy gift cards from our stores and restaurants. Cash flow is critical to many of our businesses and gift certificates are an easy way to help. We need to help our businesses keep their doors open and the employees working. Use your influence to spread the word!

The Chamber is committed to helping our businesses through the current situation. Reach out… we are here for you – our valued members!
